One more thing

I forgot to mention the other change. Apparently its manly to have a hobby so I have taken up cooking. I have bought a few cookbooks and I hope to start posting photos of my attempts at learning to cook things slightly more complex then top ramen and pasta noodles.

After nearly a year I strike again.

So its been ages since I have done anything on my blog. Frankly there just hasn't anything that exciting in my life to write about. So I decided to change my ways and just write about a few of my recent exploits. I have recently been rededicating myself to more manly ways after reading the book "The Art of Manliness". This book led me to the art of manliness website and I have been making a few changes. The first change I've made is implementing the cold shower. It sounds insane and so I was hesitant to try it. What pushed me over the edge was the health benefits. Better circulation, keeps skin and hair healthy, strengthens immunity, and even helps with depression. So I committed myself to trying it for one week just to see what would happen. That was over three weeks ago. The health benefits are there hopefully but that's not what did it for me. I started out and it was not pleasant it was so so cold. I w as almost done with it after day one but then I started to notice things. My shower times were cut in half, when I got out of the shower I wasn't anxious to stay in and I was alert, ready for the day. When I got out I started warming up instead of cooling down and I felt less of the cold outside. Last but not least as a college student sometimes I stay out a little too late nothing counteracts too little sleep better than the brisk, revitalizing, drops from a cold shower. this has been a truly great change and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to feel better every single morning.
